BlueLee was born and raised in Switzerland. As a Scorpio, her element is the water. She loves to swim and to be at the ocean, lake, or river. That‘s probably where her desire to travel and have an adventure comes from.

Meanwhile, she is influenced by many cultures and has lived in various places such as New York, Mexico, Australia, and Polynesia. A really difficult time in her life lead her to create her own music and she fell in love with the creation of writing lyrics and songs ever since.

”Sky has no limit it‘s just the view” that‘s what BlueLee believes in and what her Debut EP: “On my way” represents. You can be the writer of your own story, be aware that you hold the pen in your own hands. Lead your own way, discover, believe, create, and always stay real.

On her Journey, she traveled around the world to dive into new cultures, meet new people with different states of mind, learned new languages, and could discover herself and her passions. After her traveling, one thing has clearly changed:  her perspective on life. She knows she wants to be independent in order to have more time, peace, and freedom. She is aware of this goal to be accomplished, she needs to finally do what she loves, MUSIC! That’s exactly what “On My Way” represents, do what you love and love what you do. You never know what happens tomorrow and should be appreciative of every single day we are gifted with. Go for it – no matter what. Through her music, BlueLee tries to motivate & connect with people and to spread hope and faith to start creating your own footsteps for whatever your heart truly desires.

Regardless of origin, skin color, or religion. You are a special star and the universe has so much to offer. Ask, believe, and receive & make your own footprints.

Growing up, how important was music in your life?

BlueLee: I always loved to sing and  Rap to my favorite Songs. Also dancing I embraced since I was little and went to dancing lessons too. I also played piano for a while. My dad is a great pianist and had his own band a while ago. I absolutely loved to go to his concerts and I probably was his biggest fan and always so proud of him.

Can you remember the moment when you decided that you wanted to be a musician?

BlueLee: Yes, this decision was made after traveling. I traveled the world in 2014 – 2016. Afterward, it was clear to me how important it is to love your job. And why not have a job that doesn’t feel like work but happiness?

Was it an easy or hard choice to make?

BlueLee: I decided to release officially as BlueLee in 2018. This choice was long overthought and as I finally made it, it was easy to take. So my first Song Burn was officially released in September 2019.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

BlueLee: I would say my music is very motivating, honest, down to earth but also raw and unfiltered. I love the style of rapping my verses in English and or German and sing my hooks. Creating my own lyrics and melodies is so much fun and real fulfillment. Reaching others through my expression is priceless.

Who are some of your favorite artists or rather, what musicians have continued to inspire you and your music?

BlueLee: There are many artists and different styles of music I listen to. But definitely:

Nicki Minaj, the Queen of Rap, she has changed the whole female Rap Game. Alicia Keys an incredible singer and person, I love her for her attitude. She is so natural, a feminist, huge motivator, honest, and cares about others. Her view of life has always inspired me as much as her career and that she always stayed herself.

Popcaan I just love and embrace the dancehall style and his Music so much and GIMS for his incredible own style of orchestra mixed with Rap is so unique and epic. Rick Ross and Lil Wayne I love for their dark unique voices. And so many more…

Who would you absolutely still love to work with in the future?

BlueLee: The same artists as mentioned above. It would be an absolute honor to work with them.

What types of change do you feel your music can initiate?

BlueLee: I think I not only have bars but the meaning is for sure deep and real. From fun and positive vibes to deep mind-changing lyrics.

I always write or freestyle about things I’ve done, heard, or witnessed. So it’s really for anyone to identify. I think through my own music I’m able to inspire and motivate people and positively change their point of view. But sometimes it also helps to vent and let it out to feel better afterward. And all this is my pleasure and the reason why I do Music. The sky has no limit it’s just the view.

I really liked your song “Burn”. What inspired you to write it?

BlueLee: As I finally decided to release my Music officially this was exactly how I felt. Furthermore, during your entire life, there are several people letting you feel you’re not good enough. And with this song, I made my decision to never let others decide my actions and just let my heart lead me. And go for my passion my Music.

What is the story behind your Debut EP: “On my way”?

BlueLee: On my way represents my steps and the path I choose: Music, Independence, honesty, and pleasure in what I love. I realized an office job is not making me happy but the Music is. So I put all my emotions and energy into this project to break out of this cycle or regular society guidelines. It represents doing what you love because you never know what happens tomorrow. For me, the only failure is when you never tried or even started.

What non-musical entities and ideas have impacted your music?

BlueLee: I would say the reality of working in corporate and traveling strongly impacted my Music. Next to my openness for cultures, my own experiences, and me loving to hear other people’s stories.

At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

BlueLee: I hope they can identify with my stories, emotions, and the vibes. But I especially hope to help many people out there with positive vibes and positive perspectives to always stay real and honest to themselves and their desires. Life is to short to wait or doubt. Live every day as it is the last and DO what is on your Live-Life-List(my own definition of a bucket list). TODAY.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

BlueLee: I think in this Industry you sacrifice to be recognized in many places also in the moments you try to be only by yourself. So if there would be a button you could press to choose artist or private life that would be nice:-)

What are your plans for the future?

BlueLee: My plans are to continuously create Music, perfect my crafts, and Music Projects. I’m currently working on a Project called Freestyle Friday which is a Mix between new Freestyles and Interviews from me or other Artists to be represented on my YouTube Channel. Another plan is to live in the USA for a while to only work and focus on Music. My Goal is to hear my own song on the Radio and perform in Festivals and collaborate with other Musicians. Openair Frauenfeld the biggest Hip Hop Festival in Europe that is a big dream of mine furthermore it is in my hometown where I definitely want to perform. In addition, I manage another Artist so I’m working on living completely independent from Music.
